Providers who are not interested in joining our network can continue to support our military by becoming a non-network provider. Suppliers authorized to TRICARE must meet specific licensing and certification requirements and be certified by TRICARE in order to provide the supply under the TRICARE program. HNFS is required to verify the notification information with each network provider to determine whether the provider meets the minimum requirements of the Defense Health Agency, HNFS and URAC. As part of the provider agreement process, medical, surgical and/or psychiatric care providers must complete this HNFS registration process. Note: The connection information status differs from the network status. You will find the network status and effective date in your provider participation agreement. (If your group has a delegated deposit information agreement, contact your group`s information section for the contract performance date.) HNFS is currently completing the processing of own complaints for our TRICARE suppliers in less than five days and offers online service tools to optimize your TRICARE transactions. Our TRICARE network providers are committed to using web-based tools to verify the merits of their beneficiaries, validate whether a service requires prior authorization, submit prior authorizations and referral requests, and submit claims electronically. All providers should check whether their CAQH® profile allows global access or indicates that HNFS can access its CAQH dataset. Vendor groups with their own deposit information division may allow HNFS to delegate registration information to the group. Visit our frequently asked questions about network providers to learn more.
