Please note that the details of your internship (choice of host organization, content, recognition, etc.) It is up to you and your academic coordinator or programme director at NUI Galway and that the International Office plays no role in the organisation. It is up to you and/or your sending discipline to NUI Galway to find a suitable host organisation and establish an apprenticeship agreement for traineeships. All three parties to this learning agreement should have a copy of this document. The ECTS system is based on the principle of mutual trust between the higher education institutions concerned. The few ECTS rules concerning information (on available courses), agreement (between host and host institutions) and the use of credits (to indicate the workload of students) aim to strengthen this mutual trust.
